By this, carefully selected itinerary, you will stay a bit out of the most touristic places of Bulgaria and get deeper in the atmosphere of our history, culture, way of living in different time periods and, of course, the wine, which is seriously involved in it. We can say that this tour is more like a boutique one, because it is a wonderful combination of nature, sightseeing, traditions with 2 overnights in some of the best chatoes in Bulgaria, where you will enjoy great food, served with the appropriate wine.
The rest of the evenings you will enjoy beautiful towns and cities, like Tryavna, the Medieval capital of Bulgaria Veliko Tarnovo and the pearl on the Danube river - Ruse.
In the morning your guide will pick you up from your hotel/accommodation in Sofia and journey begins. We will lead you to one of the beautiful and scenic roads in Bulgaria. Our first stop will be a place of respect of the Bulgarians heroes from the struggle against the Ottomans, which has a wonderful view to the Central Balkan mountain. After that we will visit an architect reserve called Koprivshtica, with its amazing architecture from late 18th and 19th century. It is like time machine, because it is perfectly preserved. You will learn a lot for our Revival period and uprisings against the foreign rule. We will have lunch in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant.
Our journey will continue toward the place where we will overnight- chateau Copsa, with it’s very good restaurant. You will be able to taste the wines that they are making and enjoy the nature around the place.
After breakfast we will check out and continue our trip. Our stop will be the capital of the Rose valley – Kazanlak. We will visit the museum of Rose production, where you will learn about the process of making this precious oil. After that you will be introduced in the history of the Thracians and the heritage they have left us from the Antiquity. We will visit one royal tomb form IV century BC, which is part of UNESCO World Heritage List. After this experience our journey will aim to cross the Central Balkan mountain. On the way we will see the memorial Russian church, Shipka passage and the memorial of a great battle against the Ottomans and our final stop will be Revival period town Tryvna – where we overnight and enjoy the old atmosphere.
This day is dedicated for exploration of the city of Veliko Tarnovo. First we will visit the main Medieval Fortress, then we will move in time and see the development of trade streets and craftsmen’s workshops from 18th – 19th century. We will visit A monastery outside town with amazing view and paintings then we will explore the hill of Arbanasi, where will have lunch and a nice walk around the old houses. Then we will come back in Veliko Tarnovo and you will have relaxed afternoon.
After breakfast our journey will continue north. Our first stop will be one of the very best preserved Roman cities in Bulgaria. We will see the archaeological remains. Our next site will be a bridge from middle 19th century, build by a very interesting and famous Bulgarian person. In the plan for the day is a visit of a beautiful cave. Then we will get back in the Middle Ages by visiting another UNECSO site – Ivanovo cliff monastery – 14th century Bulgarian art and beautiful view of the nature. Our next stop will be the place, where we will overnight – chateau Seven generations, situated close to the Danube river. You can have a good massage and a great dinner at the restaurant, enjoying the nice view of the Danube. This chateau is producing wonderful wines, which you can taste.
After a good breakfast, we will have a short ride to Ruse – the most beautiful city called in 19th century the small Vienna. We will visit the regional history museum, the city’s pedestrian boulevard to enjoy the monumental architecture, the river site alley, National Museum of transport and much more. In the evening you will have dinner in the old Ottoman fortress, guarding the Danube, where you can taste some of the regional good wines. We will overnight in the city’s historical center.
After breakfast, we will start our journey back to Sofia. On the way we will visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls – Krushuna falls and cave – Devetaki cave, which was used during the cold war for secret fuel storage and nowadays it is a movie site (Expendables II was shot there). After that we will stop in a town called Lovech, to see the famous covered bridge, built by the same architect, medieval fortress and a lot of old beautiful houses. We will have our lunch there and we will continue back to the capital.

After we clear all the information required (hotels,places of interest, food and any other amendments you want to make, etc.) you will receive a complete itinerary and payment link. Once payment is confirmed we will send your voucher.
Is this tour guaranteed only for 1 person?
All our tours are designed in a way that we guarantee departure even for only 1 person. If there is no other interested in the same tour for the mentioned dates there is no problem. Your departure is guranteed!
What to expect?
Our trips & tours are focused on small groups, so do not worry you won't be put in a big bus with onother 30-40 people. Our goal is to build personal and individual rellations between you and your tour guide, so you can enjoy the excursion in more private way. The biggest tours groups are no more that 8 people with 1 tour guide.
For groups - 7 days or morebefore the date of departure (a group is considered at least 5 or more tourist with the same package of tourist services) and for individual tourists - 2 days or more before date of departure without cancellation fee. In case of annulations of tours and transfers less that 2 days for individual and less than 7 days for group bookings, 50 percent of the travel services rate will be withheld from the deposit.
The tour operator has the right to cancel the contract without any liability, if the tourist(s) does not make payment within the indicated period. If the tourist(s) have paid a deposit but did not pay the full amount according to this agreement deadlines, the deposit will not be refunded and the trip will be cancelled.
